Hi! I’m Haley, your virtual (but 100% human) bookkeeper!
I have been working in Accounting for nearly 10 years and previous to my accounting career, worked in banking. My career has been nothing but numbers, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I have experience from basic bookkeeping all the way up to financial reporting and FP&A. Origin Accounting PDX was created as an extension of my Accounting career as a way to help businesses with their books before they desperately need it. I have worked for several companies where the accounting was never established early on, and saw firsthand the frustration it can be for business owners. Even at a very part-time basis, every business should have an accounting professional looking at their financials from the start, and ideally someone who can make recommendations to you as a business owner as the company grows. While I primarily offer bookkeeping and basic accounting, I also offer advisory services as needed. If your goal is to build out an internal accounting team, I can get in the weeds and understand the needs of the business and help you develop the right position descriptions to hire for, followed by the necessary training within the department. I have most experience in software, manufacturing, healthcare, real estate, and non profit areas.
